Hello! I’m Jennifer Kornegay. I am married and have three boys, one large dog, and too many cats. I spend most of my time doing laundry and hanging out with my boys in our van (driving all over town). I am also very active with my church and Topsail Schools. I have a variety of hobbies, including gardening, cooking, reading, BSF Bible study, traveling, painting with pastels, and playing tennis with my family.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from East Carolina University in 2003 and worked for ten years in Greenville, NC, primarily in skilled nursing and acute rehabilitation settings, focusing on inpatient traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.
While staying home with my children, I collaborated with other moms to start a non-profit community outreach program called Pender County Cooks. This initiative allowed us to share our passion for family, nutrition, and cooking through afterschool programs in surrounding rural counties. Although I was very sad to give up this endeavor during the pandemic, I am thrilled to be working as a PRN therapist again.
I strive to support and connect with others, empower personal goals, and help in navigating the complexities of care and recovery.
