Christopher Bergmann, PTA

Originally from upstate New York, CJ earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at SUNY Brockport. He was a multi-sport athlete in high school and concluded his competitive career playing Division III football. Following graduation, CJ began his professional career in strength and conditioning after obtaining his CSCS certification. While he valued his time helping athletes improve performance, he soon realized he wanted to make a more direct and lasting impact in a rehabilitative setting. This led him to pursue his education from Genesee Community College as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Nearly two years ago, he relocated from NY to North Carolina, drawn both by his love for the coast and by new professional opportunities. During his clinical training, he completed an internship with Kids In Motion, located in Greensboro, which seamlessly transitioned into his most previous role in physical therapy.
Through his experience, CJ has developed a strong passion for pediatric physical therapy. He finds great fulfillment in helping children build confidence, independence, and the foundational movement skills they need to thrive. He also holds a Golf Fitness Specialist certification, further expanding his expertise in performance-based movement and injury prevention. Most recently working as a part-time personnel trainer at High Point Country club. His background in athletics and exercise science allows him to bring energy, creativity, and a movement-focused approach to each therapy session young or old.
Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors with his wife and 2 golden retrievers, and of course taking advantage of North Carolina’s beautiful beaches.
