Physical Therapist 

The Physical Therapist will work in a multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic and carry out individualized physical therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient’s progress toward achieving functional goals. The Physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other healthcare professionals and support staff.

We provide PT services for both adult and pediatric populations. Experience treating both adults and pediatric patients is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and collaborates with other specialists. Adjusts plans of care (POCs) to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Designs and implements individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluation of strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional movement. Incorporates family/caregiver involvement when appropriate.
  • Conducts therapy interventions within defined standards of care and evidence-based practice.
  • Utilizes manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and other skilled interventions to improve patient function.
  • Directs and supervises Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff to achieve patient goals.
  • Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and positive outcomes.
  • Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement initiatives, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Completes timely and accurate documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Participates in professional development through continuing education, in-services, and staying current with clinical research.
  • Provides leadership and serves as a resource to promote physical therapy within the clinic and community.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • Active North Carolina PT license in good standing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and professional demeanor
